The Brazilian National Cancer Institute - INCA is an organ of the Ministry of Health with a federal mandate to lead a country-wide policy for cancer control in Brazil.. This leadership role occurs through the design, implementation and operation of effective and equitable programs focussing:

 Prevention
 Diagonosis
 Treatment
 Supportive and Palliative Care
 Education and Research
 Cancer Registries

INCA faces the challenge to reduce cancer incidence and mortality throughout the country by implementing a comprehensive National Cancer Control Program according to its mission and strategic vision.
