Educational process in promoting health community actions
O processo educacional na promoção de ações comunitárias em Saúde

Abstract

This paper is to discuss the process of permanent communication, information and education of health professionals and the community, so that higher integration of prevention and disease control actions are achieved. It analyses the modifications observed in Brazil on the organization of social movements and their relation to health services, and how these changes are posing new challenges for new health education attitudes and practices. It presents the different steps that should be followed in planning, developing and evaluating and educational project aiming the promotion of education action for health professionals and, the community: definition of target-population, making of educational material, testing the material, using the material, choosing education methodology, training multiplying agnets, and evaluating the results.
